We’re seeking a hands-on Assistant Market Manager to lead and coach a small but mighty team of Inside Sales and Business Development Representatives. Role Overview: Assistant Market Manager 

As the Assistant Market Manager, you’ll oversee a team of Inside Sales Representatives (remote) and Business Development Representatives (on-site). Your focus will be on driving team performance through leadership, process management, training, and ongoing development. You’ll play a key role in our market’s growth strategy and partner closely with the Market Manager and Sales Leadership to deliver exceptional results.

What You'll Do 

  • Lead and Coach: Conduct bi-weekly one-on-ones and team meetings to drive engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor Quality: Review and assess all outbound activity (calls, emails, and appointments set) to ensure alignment with messaging, tone, and qualification standards.
  • Own the Numbers: Track performance metrics and KPIs across your team. Identify gaps and implement strategies to improve conversion and consistency.
  • Recruit and Develop Talent: Participate in sourcing, interviewing, and hiring high-performing sales talent. Support onboarding and training programs for new team members.
  • Collaborate and Communicate: Work cross-functionally with the Outside Sales team and Market Manager to ensure alignment on territory goals and growth initiatives.
  • Administrative Oversight: Manage team scheduling, timecards, and ensure operational compliance with company policies and tools.
  • Drive Results: Create a high-performance sales culture that consistently meets or exceeds daily, weekly, and monthly team goals.

Who You Are

  • Proven experience managing or leading a sales team (inside sales, outbound calling, or B2B preferred)
  • Strong communicator with the ability to coach, motivate, and hold others accountable
  • Organized, analytical, and data-driven in managing performance and process
  • Comfortable giving constructive feedback and fostering a performance-first culture
  • Familiar with sales CRMs (NetSuite a plus) and Google Workspace tools
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, high-activity environment
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent work experience

A Typical Week Might Include: 

  • Leading daily sales huddles and coaching sessions
  • Reviewing call recordings and appointment quality
  • Interviewing new candidates and supporting onboarding
  • Meeting with the Director of Corporate Lead Generation to review KPIs and team updates
  • Analyzing pipeline metrics and addressing performance gaps
  • Coordinating with the Outside Sales team on lead feedback and market strategy
